Riley Shaia is a certified group exercise instructor with AFAA and has worked as group fitness instructor since 1992. She received a B.S. in Education with a concentration in Sports Medicine from the University of Virginia in 1995 then went on to get her Masters in Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1998. She is also a Master Trainer for Tabata Bootcamp, Barre Above, One Day to Wellness, Fluid Strength and Balletone. She currently teaches group fitness at the Tuckahoe YMCA and American Family Fitness in Richmond, Virginia. Riley is also a certified Holistic Nutritionist and is passionate about spreading the word about the benefits of eating a whole foods plant based diet.
